The Same But Different
At first glance, Samsung Galaxy A55 and A35 look almost identical. Same design language, same 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display, same 50MP main camera. So why does the A55 cost significantly more? We tested both phones extensively for two weeks to find out if the price difference is justified.
Processor Difference — Noticeable in Real Life
The A55 uses the Exynos 1480 while the A35 has the Exynos 1380. In benchmarks, the A55 scores about 15% higher. In real life, we noticed the difference mainly in gaming — PUBG runs at more consistent frames on the A55, while the A35 occasionally drops frames in intense scenes. For everyday use like scrolling, apps, and camera, both feel equally smooth.
Camera Comparison — Very Similar
Both phones use a 50MP main sensor with OIS. In our blind camera comparison test, most testers could not tell the photos apart. The A55 has a slightly better night mode, but the difference is minor. For most users, the A35 camera is completely sufficient.
The Real Difference: IP67 Rating
Both phones have IP67 water resistance — a feature usually reserved for flagships. This is the same protection level, so no advantage to either model here.
Verdict: Which Should You Buy?
If you are a gamer or heavy user who notices performance differences: buy the A55. If you use your phone for social media, WhatsApp, camera, and browsing: the A35 saves you 15,000 PKR with barely noticeable real-world differences. The A35 is our recommendation for most buyers.
